How will this session be beneficial for the communities in the region? L'initiative Wiki Wake Up incite et forme les communautés africaines où le mouvement est inactif et où il n'y pas d'affiliés à travers l'Afrique. A cet effet, elle oeuvre à : Travailler en partenariat avec des communautés africaines, afro-descendantes et/ou la diaspora africaine pour la contribution à Wikipédia et à ses projets. Inciter à la création de groupes dans les pays africains où le mouvement Wikimedia est inexistant ou moins actif. Réduire le biais de genre et de sexes sur les projets Wikimédia en Afrique. Tenir des permanences en ligne et/ou sur place ouvertes au public. Rechercher et nouer des partenariat publics ou privés avec des institutions publiques ou privées dans le cadre de ce projet. Cette présentation vise à servir de bluprint pour les participants à la conférence dans le cadre de son implementation au sein de leur communauté

Abstract: . This session is dedicated to the Wiki Wake Up initiative through its origin, evolution and perspectives. It will be a question of sharing with the public in ten minutes the context, objectives, results obtained and then the prospects. One of the objectives of this presentation is to be able to make known our achievements at the end of the project in order to inspire other people and to advance the wikimedia movement. How will this session be beneficial for the communities in the region? The Wiki Wake Up initiative encourages and trains African communities where the movement is inactive and where there are no affiliates across Africa. To this end, it works to: Collaborate with African communities, Afro-descendant communities, and/or the African diaspora to contribute to Wikipedia and its projects. Encourage the establishment of groups in African countries where the Wikimedia movement is non-existent or less active. Reduce gender bias on Wikimedia projects in Africa. Hold online and/or in-person open sessions for the public. Seek and establish public or private partnerships with institutions in the context of this project. This presentation aims to serve as a blueprint for conference participants regarding the implementation of the initiative within their community.
