| Abstract:
African Wikimedia editors often face peculiar problems like IP blocks, longer loading time on wikis, unpleasant user experience across wikis on mobile devices, only to mention but a few. It’s a session geared towards engaging and learning from a Site Reliability Engineering Manager at the Wikimedia Foundation, as he shares some tips on how we could navigate these problems based on his personal experience of over a decade as a subject matter expert. |

| How will this session be beneficial for the communities in the region?
Participants will learn from a subject matter expert who is also a Site Reliability Engineering Manager at the Wikimedia Foundation and understand the possible root causes to these various problems experienced. The participants will learn viable solutions based on the experience of the subject matter expert. The participants will also get an opportunity to ask questions that possibly require someone who understands the tech in question, and can give answers in layman terms. | |||
