| Abstract:
The "Advancing open knowledge in Africa through partnerships" session is an engaging discussion on partnerships within the Africa Wikimedia community at WikiIndaba. Partnerships are a crucial component of maintaining the sustained growth of the African Wikimedia movement, its efforts and contributions to advancing knowledge equity globally. Africa promises great potential for mutually beneficial partnerships with mission-aligned organizations to help improve access to knowledge about Africa's growth, development and culture. There is also much potential to grow African language Wikipedias through strategic partnerships. |
