Wiki: A Plane for creativity

Abstract

As the search for knowledge is mostly quenched by wiki, it is now forced to evolve in the sphere of creative literature too. This paper will focus on how it can be achieved. Wiki’s sphere of creative literary world will necessarily incorporate work of arts (literature) of all the languages of the world and the users of wiki to embark and enjoy the uniqueness of the genre and the language in which it is created. The literary sphere of wiki can be categorized under the following genre: 1. Verse 2. Short story 3. Novel 4. Drama 5. Oral literature 6. Tit bits 7. Jokes 8. Descriptive literature and like… These major categories can further be classified to suit the need and taste. For eg. In the language of Tamil under the category of Verse we can have further classifications viz. Pudhukavithai, Marabukavithai, hikoo, Centiriu. Therefore, by creating yet another sphere of creativity, ‘wiki’ can add another feather to its cap by not only promoting but also preserving the uniqueness of the various genres of the world literature. Wiki which is already a treasure house of information will be further enriched with the spoils of the creative literature across the globe. The paper will discuss such methodology and plan of action.
