User talk:PyneJ/Hacks/PageWhiteList
I'm having problems installing this patch. Can you please show which line needs replacing and show exactly what it should be replaced with? The - and + symbols seem to cause problems as well as the strange commenting and linux(?) info. --Anon
I would like to disable the ability for anon users to edits pages within my wiki. I followed the suggestions beneath the In "1.5(1.5rc2, 1.5rc4)" heading. Following the addition of the line to DefaultSettings and EditPage, I received 5 or 6 php errors/warning regarding header information having been already sent. I rolled the files back until I had a chance to play with it a lil more.
If anyone has implemented this on 1.5.2 I'd enjoy hearing any further suggestions you may have to get this working.
Changing "Login required to edit" description edit
How would I go about changing the "Login required to edit" screen so it sais something like:
Login required to edit You have to login to edit content pages. You may however post comments on the corresponding discussion page, just click Discussions above and then press the + link.;
Instead of the default: "You have to login to edit content pages. "
My comment: In essence... this hack allow to differentiate between editing a page and editing discussion page, because long time ago some braindead &#@^%$ decided to apply same action to both. Thanks, $^(&3.
