Thematic branches
Thematic or subject-specific branches* are projects with a specialised purpose - supporting editors from across Wikimedia projects with their questions on a specific subject. Typically a thematic branch is run by at least one coordinator who's informed about the topic, supported by translators to assist with questions in languages the coordinator isn't familiar with.
