Huge lists no good edit
There's a reason oversized lists are removed from other wikis. Sprawling lists are rarely helpful. When was the last time you sat down and spent hours making use out of a huge list? Big lists = lack of focus = big mess = not useful. -74.65.155.2 06:49, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

In fact, I liked it so much that I was going to suggest it myself. Has there been any progress on this becoming an actual project? (Oops - forgot the tildes.)

Good Idea edit
As long as a long list is controlled and properly separated, long lists of information in a centralized location are a good thing. They're eliminated from wikipedia because they don't fir the encyclopedia theme, but many times those lists still contain useful factual information. An additional wiki on the side that links back to wikipedia could effectively be the appendix to wikipedia, holding all of the information Wikipedia deems "unencyclopedic" but is otherwise still useful.
The trick is to make sure the lists of information are factual in nature, and not opinions like "Ten funniest X" or "Top Ten Beautiful X"
Great idea edit
I think it's a great idea for lists that are good but don't belong to Wikipedia. Perhaps you could also move all the lists from Wikipedia to Wikilists. --Morten 23:15, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
