Bonus articles and Date

edit

I'm not seeing the bonus articles to be created, and the starting date is kind of confusing is it 20th - 4th May or 28th - 12th May? -Em-mustapha t@lk 22:16, 23 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello M-Mustapha, apologies for the confusion. All has been updated and fixed now, thanks for the interest. Kaizenify (talk) 19:52, 28 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi there, can i check what is included in media for bonus point?

thanks Sunday Tonics (talk) 09:19, 10 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Yeah I'm also confused by the bonus point system, i see no way to see if the person is included in the bonus scheme or not. There is a list of potential articles, some people are sportswomen so obviously not included, but then what about for example Bose Ogulu, seems like she is in the edia and therefore qualifies. Further I see people taking the 20 bonus when they haven't created the article, so that's clearly wrong. Mujinga (talk) 10:30, 10 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Take a look at this

edit

There have been numerous deletion of some Nigeria known persons deleted I would love we take a second look at:

All coming from one account with User:Geezygee , I dont know why he is not pushing them to be restored. This are very known persons.

Different form of the list

edit

Hi! I've created a different form of the list that quickly shows what languages the articles are in, if any. It can also be sorted by language to show which ones have been written and which ones are still missing. Doesn't include professions, etc. so it's more of a supplement to the original list :) -Yupik (talk) 07:37, 2 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Wow, thank you Yupik for curating this lists; we deeply appreciate. Will link it now to the main contest page. Kind regards. Kaizenify (talk) 12:23, 3 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Extension of WikiGap Nigeria Challenge

edit

Greetings,

We write to thank you for your immense contribution towards the ongoing WikiGap online event in Nigeria organized to close the existing gender gap on Wikipedia. We started with a 2-day online training with a follow-up by two weeks online contest expected to end 13 May 2020.

So far, the WikiGap Nigeria contest has produced new articles in various languages:

  1. Hausa - 25
  2. Yoruba - 24
  3. Igbo - 15
  4. English-58
  5. Deutsch - 2
  6. Indonesia - 7
  7. French - 1

The list excludes articles that were improved during the contest.

We have received feedback in some quarters of the community to extend the contest to promote inclusion and more community participation. In light of the above scenarios and feedback from our community, we have decided to extend the contest for an additional two weeks(which now ends 27th of May) to encourage more community participation.

Thank you for your understanding. Kaizenify (talk) 16:55, 11 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
