Rollback edit

Hello, Quiddity. I belive the rollback item needs more clarification. Some wikis were reverted. I can't understand from the text either the new version continues on all the rest wikis, or it did not started there. IKhitron (talk) 09:35, 9 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi IKhitron. Yes, I had just added that line as a placeholder until it was clear whether the deployment train was going to proceed this week (per this email). I was going to add a link today, if that line needed to stay. However, it looks like they've fixed everything now, so I will remove the line as soon as I've confirmed this.
(Sidenote: I copied the text from Tech/News/2017/22. I wasn't sure whether it was better to try to use the translation memory system (as I did), or to write it from scratch. I'll try to use clearer wording, when (if!) this happens again.) Thanks! Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 19:13, 9 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

New item edit

Not sure if this is too late to go out, but, we rolled out some changes to how we count linter errors to address performance concerns. While we figure out a better solution to the problem, we are temporarily reporting estimated counts instead of actual counts. So, wikis might see their linter counts artificially inflated till that time. Here is a proposed announcement: "Because of some performance-related fixes, Linter is now reporting estimated error counts instead of actual counts. Therefore, wikis might notice an artificial increase in error counts. Once we figure out a better solution to the performance problem, this will be fixed.". Visual diffs edit

Hello, Johan. Are you sure it really works? I can't see it on beta page. And the task is open. IKhitron (talk) 15:17, 15 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi IKhitron, I'm not intimately familiar with last week's issue, since I only distributed it, but didn't write it. I think Quiddity is better suited to answer questions about the content. /Johan (WMF) (talk) 15:41, 15 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
IKhitron It looks like they're in the process of fixing it, right now: phab:T185708#3976322. Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 17:52, 15 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
