Arguments in favor edit

  • Support per my own comments above Cary Bass demandez 19:35, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support We have vast amount of literary work in our language. We have a Nobel Winner poet Rabindranath Tagore and his works are now become PD. We have wikipedia (bn.wp) in Bengali language of +16,000 articles. The article number and quality both are improving day by day. --Bellayet 20:37, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support We can really improve net resources in our language. There are a vast number of PD works of literature in Bengali language. -- Khan Muhammad 04:23, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support Even English and other language wikipedia will benefit from this project as a lot of information which is not available online now will eventually become available through this project. Bengali wikipedians will be able to enrich english wikipedia using these materials. Armanaziz 12:02, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support We also have another noble winner poet Kazi Nazrul Islam and Banker Muhammad Yunus. Furthermore, the number of Bengali wikipedians are growing day by day and the ranking status of Bengali is 4. So it gets much importance in this situation.--NAHID 13:52, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support The PD works in Bengali language ranges from mid 15th century Vishnav poems that form a backbone for religious history of eastern parts of the South Asian subcontinent to the great works of Rabindranath Tagore, Vivekananda and Arvind to an enormous amount of folk/spiritual literature of Aul, Baul, Sahebdhoni, Pagolpanthi, Balahari and other cults to tonnes of essays (including those of historian Nihar Ranjan Roy and physicists Jagadish Chandra Bose, Satyen Basu and Meghnad Saha), novels, plays and more, much more. One of the top 10 most spoken languages, with at least a thousand year history four Nobel Award winners... Why, the reasons would be endless. Aditya Kabir 14:26, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support It is the time to do it. So, give us the chance. Regards. --Tarif Ezaz 19:28, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
