Requests for comment/Mission(s) policy

Hi all, I am Gabrielchihonglee from Hong Kong, 14 years old. I am now proposing and requesting for comments about my suggestion. My suggestion is to create a mission system, which will run on en.wikipedia first then other sister project and languages. Maybe you will ask why do we need one. Actually, according to my experience in Baidu(One of the China wiki that copies content from Wikipedia), they help new users learn the environment and how to edit, it also lets user have different grading. Currently, I know that active users are reducing.

What I want to do is to create one like them. The "Mission policy" sall include some videos about what is Wikipedia, introducing the interface and require them to do some edits. Each mission done, they shall gain some EXP. Once their EXP reaches some level, they shall get something like a reward. Every project can and does create its own help pages, and even videos, about how to edit.
We cannot require people to edit, contrary to what maybe state-run sites in China can do.

@Gabrielchilhonglee: I think you are looking for The Wikipedia Adventure. It's not required to edit, though; I do not see such a requirement likely to be successful. Keegan (talk) 17:59, 13 August 2014 (UTC)on[reply]

In English, a Mission statement is a statement of purpose. Adventure is a better translation of the concept of involvement, with people going on a mission, than mission. Historically only about one out of a thousand readers ever click "edit" even once. Not sure that anything will ever change that ratio.
