Wikipedias in several languages have separate articles about stamp collecting and about the science that researches stamps. The interwiki links should reflect the content as closely as possible.

• I have a comment regarding the uk (Ukrainian) article. It is entirely based on the article from the Encyclopedia of Ukraine published in the past outside Ukraine. That article was called "Filateliya" (Philately). But if we look at the content of the Ukrainian Wikipedia article, it deals completely with a different topic, Postage stamps and postal history of Ukraine, and is similar to the articles combined by the English Wikipedia Template:Postalhistorybycountry. I think, this issue should be addressed to the Ukrainian Wikipedia community at Вікіпедія:Кнайпа (пропозиції) or Вікіпедія:Перейменування статей and the article should be given a new name, Postage stamps and postal history of Ukraine. --Michael Romanov 18:04, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

  Oh, i understand now. I only read the opening paragraph and thought that it's enough, although i did notice the unusual interwiki links there, i ignored it, but i should have looked better.

  Probably it is best to split this article into "Philately" and "History of Ukrainian postage stamps". It should be discussed at the talk page of the article. Someone who can write Ukrainian should do that. --Amir E. Aharoni 21:28, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

  If you split the current Ukrainian article into two, you will have only three sentences in "Philately", and the rest will be "Postage stamps and postal history of Ukraine". Since none of us is a Ukrainian speaker, I would suggest to start discussion in English by referring Ukrainian Wikipedians to this discussion page. --Michael Romanov 01:00, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

  The problem has been resolved. There are now two separate Ukrainian articles uk:Філателія (Philately) and uk:Поштові марки та історія пошти України (Postage stamps and postal history of Ukraine). --Michael Romanov 08:31, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
