Grants talk:Project/Rapid/Wikipedia Pages Wanting Photos 2021 in Cameroon/Report

Report accepted and comments edit

Hello Bile rene, congratulations on completing your grant! Your final grant report has been reviewed and accepted. I have a few comments and questions after reviewing your grant report:

  • Please add the total amount spent to the report page.
  • Please add the usernames of winners. Do you think offering a laptop as a prize brings impact for your community, especially when you have only a few participants in an event?
  • Could you please add event locations and number of participants in each event?
  • How many online events did you run? In your opinion, what types of events are the best for your community?
  • I’m sorry that the delay in the project terms resulted in low participation. Besides starting the project on time, what else will you do differently to ensure higher participation in the future?
  • As we discussed over email, the remaining funds will be deducted from one of your future approved grants.

Thanks for running these events despite a few external challenges! Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 10:50, 7 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi DSaroyan (WMF) thanks!

  • Please add the total amount spent to the report page: Done.

1- Lontsi Minette
2- Chia Jelvis
3- Folamo Benoit
To remain compliant with the subsidy, we have published the laptop and we have at least communicated on this prize, for the sake of integrity, we must give this prize to the winner.
  • Could you please add event locations and number of participants in each event?
Event locations:
  • Maroua: 2 participants
  • Yaounde: 2 participants
  • Douala: 1 participant
  • Buea: 13 participants
  • How many online events did you run? In your opinion, what types of events are the best for your community?
2 events online, physical events are the best type of events
  • I’m sorry that the delay in the project terms resulted in low participation. Besides starting the project on time, what else will you do differently to ensure higher participation in the future?
As mentioned in the report, it will be a question of communication, it should be noted that the funds allocated to communication have not been used, hence the lack of communication and little participation.

A communication unit was set up which was unable to commit for the amount that was reserved. Hence the low participation rate.
