Acknowledgement and Suggestion from De-Invincible (talk) 09:47, 2 September 2023 (UTC) edit

Opinion: I think the college's choice by the organizer is a good one because it's a big community to reach out to women as the populace comprises about 80% women from different ethnic, social, economic and geographic backgrounds. Not only this, but another thing is the fact that the college was solely establish to empower and train especially women and girl-child to acquire skills including that of the Computer and Information Technology, as such, this project will be welcome by the college populace and I can foresee a positive outcome from it considering the way it's planned to be implemented.

Suggestion:

However, since the project's part of the strategy aimed at establishing Wiki Fan Club to sustain the participants, I suggest that the organizer seek a kind of negotiations with the college management during the implementation of the project so that things like the College sound system can be provided or be allowed to use by the facilitators. This would help open the way for a future collaborations and support from the college when the need arise especially for the Fan Club.

Remark:

Finally, as the Executive Director of Wikimedia Fulfulde Community, I acknowledged that the applicant has informed the group members of her intent to organize this event and I believe her experience in organizing the previous project as well as that which the Facilitators involved have will help in achieving a successful and rewarding results. As someone who encountered the applicant in many previous activities and events and also work with her in different roles and responsibilities within our community projects, I sincerely testify of her hardwork and experience in handling diverse group of people. Her approach and skill in developing friendly relationship with participants is admiring. I therefore support this project. Ahmerd Adam (talk) 12:21, 8 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello @Hajjare thank you for applying for the rapid fund grant. We reviewed and approved the grant in the amount of 1,248,250 NGN ($1,602.21 USD) with the following comments:

Commendations to the team for a well thought out project. The proposed activities, including awareness campaigns and editathons, are well-structured and the team composition is diverse and includes experienced editors and organizers who can provide guidance and support.

  • In addition to awareness campaigns and editathons, consider developing a plan for follow-up activities to ensure the continued engagement and retention of female participants. This could include regular check-ins, ongoing support, and additional training sessions.

Best of luck with your project!

Thank you so much ma'am. I'll ensure adding a plan for the follow-up activities. Hajjare (talk) 23:48, 30 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hello ma @YPam (WMF), I will like to request for the extension of the project end date to 30 December, 2023. This is because the wired funds were not received earlier than the start date. The extension will give the facilitors ample time to prepare for the planned activities. Thank you. Hajjare (talk) 18:41, 22 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hello @Hajjare your request is understandable and approved. As such your new grant end date will be December 30, 2023. All the best! YPam (WMF) (talk) 08:40, 1 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thank you so much, ma. Hajjare (talk) 11:16, 1 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hello Ma, @YPam (WMF), I want to complain about my report due date. My request for the project end date extension which was approved here wasn't reflected on my fluxx dashboard up to now. I thought it was because of the new year holiday and waited patiently for the changes to reflect but it turn out that the report status changed to "Overdue" instead of being under "Upcoming". I hope you can give this matter and urgent consideration. Thank you so much for your kind support and time. Hajjare (talk) 01:09, 27 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
