Comment about the project by Awwerl (talk) 16:08, 14 May 2023 (UTC) edit

I offer my highest recommendation for this proposed activities to be considered. The college community, with the acceptance of this proposal by WMF, will unequivocally launch a formidable structure in the hub of Wikipedia's projects, especially with the creation of a Wiki Fan Club to sustain the project beyond the timelines of the proposal. I this this project is needed because of the choice of location as no any similar activity actually happen in the environment. So this will help add more volunteers and contributors to various Wikipedia's in various languages. Maydala (talk) 06:20, 15 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Support from Apdoull (talk) 08:45, 18 May 2023 (UTC) edit

This project if considered will promote Wikimedia projects in two ways; one of which is that it will be a chance to bring underrepresented community members and geography to know what Wikimedia projects are all about and the second is the fact that new set of editors will be recruited to work on Wikipedia languages lacking more volunteers. Sustainability edit

The project not only demonstrates remarkable clarity but also strategically focuses on targeting educational institutions. The decision to prioritize the dissemination of Wikimedia Awareness within academia is truly commendable, as it holds the potential to foster long-term sustainability and growth.

Educational institutions serve as invaluable hubs of knowledge, nurturing young minds and shaping the leaders of tomorrow. By directing efforts towards raising Wikimedia Awareness in these institutions, we can tap into a vast network of students, educators, and researchers who are actively engaged in learning and knowledge creation. This approach presents an incredible opportunity to inspire a generation of individuals who understand the significance of open knowledge, collaboration, and the power of Wikimedia platforms.

In today's fast-paced world, where information is abundant but often fragmented, it is crucial to equip students with the skills to navigate and critically evaluate the vast array of resources available to them. By promoting Wikimedia Awareness, we can empower students to leverage the wealth of reliable and accessible information provided by Wikimedia projects. This not only enhances their educational experiences but also equips them with essential digital literacy skills that are increasingly valuable in the modern age.

The potential for sustainability in educational institutions is particularly promising. Academic communities are known for their commitment to research, innovation, and continuous learning. By establishing Wikimedia Awareness within these institutions, we can create a self-perpetuating cycle of knowledge sharing and contribution. As students become aware of Wikimedia's vast resources, they are likely to utilize and contribute to these platforms throughout their academic journeys, ensuring the longevity and growth of the Wikimedia ecosystem.

I offer my enthusiastic endorsement to this project, recognizing its clear vision and strategic focus on targeting educational institutions. By nurturing Wikimedia Awareness within academia, we can empower students, educators, and researchers to embrace open knowledge, drive innovation, and contribute to the global Wikimedia community. This endeavor holds immense potential for long-term sustainability and a brighter future where access to information is democratized and collaborative knowledge creation thrives.
