Rapid Fund Request : Approved

Dear Wikimedia Community South Sudan,

Thank you for applying to the rapid fund program. We have approved funding in the amount of 5,000,000 SGD. Please see the comments below linked to the funding decision;

• Connect with other groups in the region who have implemented similar projects, such as Wikimedia Nigeria and Yoruba Wikimedians UG.
• Create a project page where community members can learn more about the project and see the progress you are making, including a space for access to the educational resources you will create and materials used for community workshops. The page will be useful in listing all partners that you will work with on the project.
• There is a need to define what editors mean and the expected action and cognitive outcomes.
• Additionally, the group needs to identify ways of ensuring and supporting the re-use of materials developed from the project and towards strengthening other Wikimedia projects.
• To ensure high-quality project outcomes, more time will be required, and with that, we have increased the project timeline.
• Specificity in metrics is needed - for instance - how many tribes will you focus on, and what is the expected number of production materials from each? In the report, we hope to see this level of evaluation and reporting.
• Again, there is a need to connect with Wikimedian groups that have done this before.
