So how would levels be tested and to what end, given the range of ways people can contribute to and develop Wikipedia? Perhaps there could be testing for specific aspects (eg technical knowledge and translation) and the equivalent of Wikipedia Barnstars. Jackiespeel (talk) 14:35, 20 July 2018 (UTC)
Editor contribution percentages edit
This sounds like a great idea. Would users be able to see how much of an article has currently been edited by an expert, intermediate, and beginning edition? Chad2271 (talk) 21:09, 23 July 2018 (UTC)
Syllabus? edit
I'd be more comfortable with this proposal if there was a syllabus -- i.e., a list of topics this certificate covered. And how would editors who have been volunteering for over ten years (I've been a Wikipedian for 16 years, over 68k edits) be treated if we don't pursue these certificates?
