Part 1 Understanding your work edit
1. Briefly describe how your proposed activities and strategies were implemented
Wiki Loves Philippines addressed a common objective which is to increase awareness of Wikimedia Commons as a sister project of Wikipedia and also to write articles. The team conducted online and offline activities and promote the competition through social media.
2. Were there any strategies or approaches that you felt were effective in achieving your goals? Please describe these strategies and approaches.
Similar to other Wiki Loves competitions, the use of social media and collaboration with previous participants as well Wikipedians (local and international) was still the best strategy in organizing and implementing the campaign.
3. Please use this space to upload media and other files that help tell your story and impact.

4. To what extent do you agree with the following statements regarding the work carried out with the support of this Fund? You can choose “not applicable” if your work does not relate to these goals.
A. Bring in participants from underrepresented groups | Strongly agree |
B. Create a more inclusive and connected culture in our community | Strongly agree |
C. Develop content about underrepresented topics/groups | Strongly agree |
D. Develop content from underrepresented perspectives | Agree |
E. Encourage the retention of editors | Agree |
F. Encourage the retention of organizers | Strongly agree |
5. Is there anything else you would like to share about how your efforts helped to bring in participants and/or build out content, particularly for underrepresented groups?
Through these competitions, we had a chance to promote our Philippine heritage, in particular: traditional and modern locally-designed clothes, built heritage and our traditional and Philippine cuisine.
Part 2: Your main learning edit
6. In your application, you outlined your learning priorities. What did you learn about these areas during this period?
I learned that though it's hard to organize these 3 campaigns in such a limited time, I can say that it's worth it. Giving opportunities to other people, contributing to local knowledge and being able to inspire others were fulfilling. I had encountered some problems but it's part of learning.
7. Did anything unexpected or surprising happen when implementing your activities? This can include both positive and negative situations. What did you learn from those experiences?
I am happy to share that the 3 winners for each competition formally joined our organization. Also, the Naga City Government mayor Hon. Nelson Legacion who also officiated the oath-taking of the new officers of the Philippine Wikimedia Community Inc. lauded the efforts and contributions of the organization to the community, and pledged his full support to the group. In fact, he offered to hire a staff for our organization. It made me inspired to continue organizing and contributing to the movement.
8. How do you hope to use this learning? For instance, do you have any new priorities, ideas for activities, or goals for the future?
In the future, I will consider more technical support from others. Sometimes I get excited and do most of the work. I realize that we really need the help of others in some areas. Proper coordination and importance of planning are my top priorities in organizing.
9. Documentation of resources: Use this space to upload any documents that would be useful to share with others (e.g. communications material, training material, presentations).

12. Did you have any difficulties collecting data to measure your results? This could include things like a lack of time or resources, or the expertise in your team to collect this data. It could also include difficulties with particular data collection tools.
Yes
12a. State what difficulties you had.
I had difficulties gathering the data results for other Wiki Loves Competition specifically Wiki Loves Fashion and Wiki Loves Food. it's already the second edition of Wiki Loves Fashion and first edition of Wiki Loves Food. Though Catanalysis provided general statistics for the competitions, the data is not enough to measure the target metrics. The appropriate tool was the Wiki Loves Competitions Tools. However, I didn't get the access to add the new competitions. For the next editions, it would be best to consult and ask help from the admin or several follow-ups.
Below are the sample tools used in the competitions.
