1. Briefly describe how your proposed activities and strategies were implemented

Avant le début de la compétition, nous nous sommes constitue en une équipe de 4 personnes pour gérer les activités du projet avec chacun un rôle spécifique. Nous avons créée une page de l'évènement avec les informations détaillées du projet et aussi la possibilité des participant de s'enregistrer directement sur cette page. Des pages sur Facebook, Instagram et Twitter ont été crées pour servir de canal pour communiquer sur les sessions et les photowalks. Nous avons crée un groupe WhatsApp où nous avons intégré tous les participants et ce groupe a permis de garder le contact permanent avec les participants pour répondre aux éventuelles questions techniques sur la plateforme. En ce qui concerne les formations en présentiel nous avons collaboré avec le centre incubateur de l'Université de Niamey.

Une approche participative axée sur les contributeurs locaux c'est à dire des personnes issues de la communauté proche de la réserve de biosphère ou zone naturelle visitée afin de toucher le maximum de nouveaux contributeurs. Nous avons égalons à chaque photoWalk crée un groupe WhatsApp où nous demandons à ceux qui veulent participer de créer leurs comptes et les former par rapport au téléversement et les exigences du concours. Nous sommes restés constamment avec les participants dans les groupes WhatsApp et sur Facebook. Nous avons été invité par un media privé studio Kalangou pour parler du concours sur leurs ondes. Cependant vu le contexte sécuritaire du pays nous n'avons pas communiqué sur les réseaux sociaux sur nos voyages dans les parcs et réserves vu le niveau d'exposition au risque de criminalité et terrorisme.

Dans le cadre du concours, nous encourageons beaucoup la participation des filles et des photographes professionnels. Les contributeurs locaux ont été pleinement impliqués au lieu de faire quitter des contributeurs de la capitale vers les régions.

6. In your application, you outlined your learning priorities. What did you learn about these areas during this period?

Ce concours pour la première fois au Niger nous a permis travailler en groupe sur un même projet de manière bénévole. L'un des points positifs est l'accueil de la toute première édition du concours au Niger et l'enthousiasme suscité par les photowalks organisés à l'intérieur du pays et la connaissance du mouvement par contributeurs locaux à l'intérieur du pays.

Ce concours a permis à plusieurs contributeurs d'avoir plusieurs modifications sur les différents projets de Wikimédia et ceci nous permet très prochainement de formuler notre demande de Usergroup Wikimédia pour la communauté du Niger.

Nous comprenons davantage sur l'organisation des événements, comment rendre plus facile la circulation des informations liées au mouvement et comment attirer des nouveaux participants à nos activités.

Négatif :les évènements du coup d'Etat intervenus vers la fin du mois de juillet 2023 nous a trouvé sur le terrain et ça a eu un impact sur le bon déroulement de notre planning et même un retard dans le cadre de la suite du programme.

Positif : la désignation des points focaux au niveau des régions a permis d'être facilement en contact avec les communautés et ainsi que la communication avec les contributeurs locaux.

8. How do you hope to use this learning? For instance, do you have any new priorities, ideas for activities, or goals for the future?

Nous comptons créer le premier groupe d'utilisateurs de Wikimédia au Niger dans ce mois. nous avons également planifié des activités au moins chaque fin du mois pour parler du mouvement et la possibilité de contribuer aux différents projets de la fondation. Nous allons également participer à toutes les éditions prochaines afin de continuer à documenter les projets.

Le fond non dépensé est de 75 900 XOF soit un équivalent d'environ 130 USD( au 18 juillet 2023). Nous n'avons pas utilisé les fonds pour la sortie photographique sur le fleuve Niger du fait des difficultés rencontrés dû à la saison de pluie. On nous a déconseillé de naviguer sur le fleuve pendant la saison de pluie parce que le risque d'accident de pirogue lié à la force du contre-courant et la faible capacité des moteurs.

Comme c'est pour la première fois que nous bénéficions d'un financement de la fondation nous nous sommes battus pour atteindre nos objectifs fixés et nous sommes fiers d'avoir fait participer le Niger pour la première fois au concours international Wiki Loves Earth. Certes il y a eu des imprévus et des difficultés mais on a pu s'adapter au mieux pour réussir le projet. Nous vous remercions pour l'occasion que vous nous avez offert pour donner une meilleure image de notre pays au dèla de l'insécurité et toute forme de violence.
