The proposed activities were intended to contribute to the Wiki Loves Africa 2023 photo contest. The community of Burundi took part in the contest and the members shooted photos relating to the theme of the year "Climate and Weather" which they could upload on Wikimedia Commons.
2. Were there any strategies or approaches that you felt were effective in achieving your goals? Please describe these strategies and approaches.
Before the start of the contest, awareness sessions were held for active and new members to contribute to the competition. The competition was started with a training session on how to shoot photos and upload to Wikimedia Commons.

We have organized information and training sessions to participants, and have showed to them the feasibility of the campaign, how to take photos, what kind of photos to shoot, how to upload photos, how to use photos on Wikimedia projects.

The organized contest was useful to recruit new members for our community and a number of 1793 photos were uploaded by participants from the community of Burundi.

Participants uploaded more photos to Wikimedia Commons.
