What Links Here Statistics
Provide "What links here" internal link statistics to identify which pages are bringing users to the current page.

What is the problem you're trying to solve? edit
Content review and curation should be prioritized. We now have good page view data to identify popular pages, but no understanding of how users navigate through a wiki so that we might improve their navigation experience.
What is your solution? edit
Being able to analyze "What links here" internal link usage data would provide an understanding of what pages and approaches encourage users to explore further, and what pages are dead-ends that terminate the user experience. Effective approaches could be duplicated, improving curation, and dead-ends could be prioritized for improvement or elimination.

- This is a good idea. 5-10 years ago I would always do a "what links here" (WLH) search whenever I started a *new* article - yes, WLH works even before an article is created! But I can't do that anymore - there are so many navigation templates that it sometimes looks like *everything* is already linked! (only on Wikipedia!!) If it worked so that we know which links actually send readers to the uncreated article, WLH would again be useful for creating new articles. Smallbones (talk) 23:36, 22 March 2016 (UTC)
- I like the idea of this, since we could see where people are coming from and examine those articles to see what those articles have advantage-wise over the less frequently used links attached to the article. We could then use that data to possibly suggest changes or improvements. Tokyogirl79LVA (talk) 15:21, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
