Wikimedians speaking Turkic languages have met at Istanbul during a 3-day conference on 20-23 October 2023 and along with many other things they have discussed education programs in their country. Wikimedians of Albanian Language User Group organized a 2-day workshop about Wikidata project in Elbasan, Albania. With the collaboration of the Linguistic Department at the Aleksandër Xhuvani University and the support of the Switch Technologies Start-up, 24 participants gathered to explore and celebrate Wikidata’s 11th birthday. The highlight of the month at Wiki Movimento Brasil is the launch of the table of contents of the book "Wikimedia in Brazil: the power and challenges of free knowledge". The book is a collection of chapters written collaboratively by Brazilian professors, researchers and Wikimedians. Read more…


The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) has embarked on an exciting new initiative in collaboration with the PhilWiki Community and the Bikol Wikipedia Community. The roots of this partnership can be traced back to 2012, with conferences and training sessions involving CBSUA faculty and students beginning in 2017. Notable Wikipedians from CBSUA, including Leah Banastao-Sumalinog, Zyra Hila, Marvin Molin, Elbert Baeta, Jenly Balaquiao, and Jerome Hipolito, have actively contributed to these engagements. The Edu Wiki camp was held at the Radulovacki Ecological Center in Sremski Karlovci in Serbia in July 2023. The participants of the camp had the opportunity to learn about the programs and projects of Wikimedia Serbia, but also to improve their skills, which will help them in further volunteer engagement in Wikimedia Serbia. This year, the camp gathered 17 students from different parts of Serbia. Read more…

The most recent CEE meeting was held on September 14-17 in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. The program of the four-day meeting included meetings, workshops, presentations, as well as exploring local culture and sights.
