[Facing a language crisis, promote and teach language preservation through Wikipedia]

Abstract/description

The Wikimedia community in Taiwan is actively participating in establishing more plans, Creating a language-friendly environment to enhance language learning channels and opportunities in countries facing heritage language crises. Through Wikipedia, we can implement language revitalization and modernization by simplifying vocabulary and sentence structures. The Amis language dictionary serves as a supplementary learning resource, and utilizing Lingua Libre helps preserve the language.

• At the end of the course, participants will have an understanding of the indigenous Amis language in Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and the Asian region.
• In the upcoming sessions of the conference, there will be more participants focusing on Austronesian languages. By the end of the course, each participant will have a thorough understanding of how to contribute in their own language.
