Community Wishlist Survey 2022/Wikidata/Feature to change the order of the references and qualifiers
Feature to change the order of the references and qualifiers
- Problem: Can't change the order of the declarations, qualifiers and references
- Proposed solution: Make a feature to change the order of them and even automatically class the reference per date of publication for exemple
- Who would benefit: The contributors/editors

Discussion
- @Noecmm: Would ordering qualifiers and references by global property order suffice for your use cases? As described in phab:T169960. Or is a manual, per-item, order required? —SWilson (WMF) (talk) 05:42, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
- There is a user script that allows to do it for statements. But in most cases, the input order should not matter, and the output sort should be determined based on the data. Therefore, it is better to think about improving the data model here. — putnik 09:19, 14 January 2022 (UTC)

- Oppose order is meaningless on wikidata. there is no good reason to do this and it clutters history. BrokenSegue 03:17, 5 February 2022 (UTC)
