Chapters meeting 2009/Preparation/Wikimedia New York City

Quick facts edit

  • Our first preparatory meeting was in November 2007, and we were accepted as a chapter in January 2009. We are currently in the process of legally registering with the state.
  • The biggest development is the relationships we have established with outside partners (Free Culture groups, civic groups, museums, libraries).
  • We don't have a formal membership system yet, but there are about 20 people actively involved.
  • Budget: $0
