CBSUA Wiki Club is an extra-curricular club formed at Central Bicol State University of Agriculture-Calabanga on 25 October 2023 consisting of faculty, non-teaching personnel, students, and alumni. The CBSUA Wiki Education program envisions a university where faculty, non-teaching personnel, and students actively share knowledge with the general public by integrating Wikimedia into their instruction, research, extension, and production services.

Earlier, on 15 October, the CBSUA-Sipocot Wikimedia Society (CSWS), a community-based organization dedicated to the progress of the Wikimedia movement and the open knowledge ecosystem in Sipocot town in Camarines Sur, was launched during the second year of SICCLAB, an initiative of College of Education and College of Education Extension Services. CBSUA Wiki Education at Calabanga campus was launched in partnership with PhilWiki Community and Bikol Wikipedia Community.

An activity agreement was signed between CBSUA-Calabanga campus administrator and the PhilWiki Community to outline the responsibilities of both parties during the culminating program of the 15th Bikol Wikipedia anniversary celebration held last 31 October 2023. Six (6) institutional partners including CBSUA were recognized by Bikol Wikipedia Community and PhilWiki Community for their significant contribution and outstanding support. CBSUA Wiki Education, a joint program of the International Relations Office of CBSUA-Calabanga and the PhilWiki Community and Bikol Wikipedia Community, marks a significant milestone as the first university-based Wikimedia community in the Philippines.[1]

CBSUA non-teaching personnel Froy Beraña, and lecturers Elbert Baeta and Jerome Hipolito participated the 5th Bikol Wikipedia Day held at Ateneo de Naga University in 2012.

During the Wiki Takes Rinconada photograph and video scavenger hunt inspired by Wikipedia Takes the City, a project led by Irvin Sto. Tomas which included Baeta as an organizing team member, two teams from the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture-Pili main campus participated: CBSUA-REPED represented by Beraña and teammates Marvin Molin and Jessel Encinas, and CBSUA-CDE represented by Rizalyn Sahagun, Danny Boy Nacario and Gerard Ibarrera. The activity ran from December 19, 2015 to January 16, 2016. During the culminating activity, an editing session dubbed as Rinconada Bikol Wikipedia Edit-a-thon 2 was conducted as part of the Wikipedia 15 celebration. The City Government of Iriga thru the City Tourism Office held a week-long photograph exhibit and a street photography during the celebration of Tinagba Festival. Sixty-five (65) free-licensed photographs selected from the images of Rinconada landmarks and cultural icons captured during Wikipedia Takes Rinconada were exhibited from February 4 - 12, 2016 at Iriga City Public Library in Iriga City, Camarines Sur.

Jerome Hipolito and Jenly Balaquiao, a faculty and then-student, now an instructor at Central Bicol State University of Agriculture at Calabanga, attended the 10th Bikol Wikipedia anniversary celebration at Ateneo de Naga University on 11 November 2017. At the anniversary celebration held at CBSUA on 25 November, CBSUA students participated in different activities to encourage the participants to improve and create content in any Wikipedia edition. A lecture on Wikimedia Commons was attended by students and the university director for research who looked forward to a formal partnership with PhilWiki Community. A photograph walk within the campus was done in the afternoon. On 2 December 2017, a tutorial on uploading photographs was held at the university.

In 2018-2019, Froy Beraña led a series of WikiTutorial was conducted from wherein twenty (20) content editors, among them were educators, learned the basic editing and Wikimedia movement in the Philippines. They participated in the tutorial, meetings and activities during this period. The first session of the tutorial was held on 16 November 2018 at Central Bicol State University of Agriculture in Pili, Camarines Sur. A follow-up session was held on November 25, 2018 attended by some members of the faculty and staff of CBSUA Pasacao and Pili campuses which included WikiTutorial participants Marvin Molin and Leah Banastao. On 8 April 2019, the CBSUA main campus, Sentro ng Wika at Kultura (SWK-CBSUA) and Parasurat Bikolnon, Inc. sponsored Hurop-Hurop, Huron-Huron: Usapang Panpanitikang Bikol, a forum on Bikol literature attended by writers, teachers, and students. Among the speakers was Beraña who shared about the role of Bikol Wikipedia in promoting and preserving the Bikol language.

Several other activities have been conducted at CBSUA main campus since 2021. Wiki Loves Earth editing session (June 12) and Wiki Loves Art mural painting activity (June 27) were participated by participated teaching and non-teaching personnel of CBSUA and members of PhilWiki Community. They also attended a tutorial led by Marvin Molin on contributing Wikipedia articles during the Wikipedia Pages Wanting Photographs Campaign (August 10) to improve Wikipedia articles in local languages. As a result, 2,390 previously unused images from Wikimedia Commons had been added to different articles in local Wikipedia editions. In 2022, the kick-off celebration of Wikimania 2022 in the Philippines was held at Central Bicol State University of Agriculture. Participants discussed the on-going WPWP Philippines and Wiki Loves Earth Philippines campaigns.
